It may be more appropriate for you to devise a policy to demonstrate commitment to the Act. The policy can set out standards and delivery as well as clearly defining responsibilities at all levels. This is one of the most significant defences in any claim made against you as it clearly sets out your plans and aims.
Written policies are the starting point in any management issue. Access Audits may identify the immediate need, and Disability Awareness Training may help in achieving targets, but written policies assist in continuing the development and monitoring of, and adherence to, new procedures.
